Your Emotion and Mine!




Do you have Emotion?
What is emotion? Is it have the same meaning with mood? What about feeling?
In this post, I want to share about Emotion and what we can do to handling troublesome emotions J

First, we have to know the differences between emotion, mood and feeling. Yeah, actually I often heard others use those words when they talk about love, caring, badmood etc. Hehehe
Emotion is kind of something that personal and subjective. Which is emotion occur from your internal self, include several components of physiological change, such as bodily sensations, and any subjective awareness about the sensation and our meaningful interpretation of these sensation that will be expressed in our overt behavior (our real act/behave).

Then, what about mood? Sometimes we said bad mood or good mood. Mood is kind of emotion which is persist over a longer period of time-hours or even days. When we talk about emotion, its appear to make us aware and anticipating the stimulus that come over. However, feeling is part of the emotion it self.
We could know and understand how people’s personality through their emotion. There’s six basic emotion which is universal and all people in the world has it. Sad, Angry, Happy, Surprise, Afraid, and Queasy.

How to Handle you Troublesome emotions?

“You can’t expect to prevent negative feelings all together neither expect to experience positive feelings all the time. The law of emotional choice directs us to acknowledge our feelings but also to refuse to get stuck in the negatives ones – anonymous”

The Emotion that sometimes make you feel unwell is Anxiety, Guilt and Anger. Is hard to handle that emotions? Let me share it one by one J

a. Anxiety is the unpleasant feeling dan kind of worry about something bad will happen to you. But, anxiety isn’t always have bad effect to you if you could control your emotional alarm system appropriately. How to handle the anxiety? You have to aware about your feeling and try to find what makes you feel threatened.
b. Guilty, this kind of emotion happen when you feel betrayed by someone or violated our consience, our internalized standards of good and bad. The positive effect of feeling guilty are as self correction not punishment, freedom, independence and responsibility.
c. Anger, this kind of emotion appear when you didn’t get what you really want. Its important to express your anger directly but in conctructive way or in a good way.

May be that’s all I can share to you from what I’ve read and I’ve got in my lecture J
